Melanie has a Bachelor of Performing Arts (Monash University). From an early age Melanie had a desire to dance, completing Ceccetti Classical Ballet training and ISTD Modern Dance at intermediate levels at Shirleen Classical School of Ballet. Melanie began Ukrainian Dance at the age of four with Verchovyna. Her love and passion for Ukrainian dance led her to partake in many Ukrainian dance workshops held by talented and renowned choreographers including Mykola Kanevets, Sergei Zubatov, Sergei Makarov and Valerie Debeli. After many years of training and study Melanie was able to pursue a dream, given the opportunity to study and dance with Virsky, Ukraine 's most prestigious dance company in Kyiv for three months. Melanie currently works at Ausdance Victoria.
Melanie's other love is acting and has trained at different centres including Drama with a Difference, TAFTA, Theatre of the Future and the National Theatre.
